Dear Assemblyman Gordon Johnson;

I was asked by Senator Ralph; to email you my concerns about passing a law in my son Deshon Johnson's name.

My name is Naomi Johnson, the mother of Deshon Johnson who was killed by a reckless Coach US bus driver Wilson Romaine who was operating an NJ Transit. It is a terrible experience for a mother who lost her only child. My physical conditional is getting worse after the terrible incident to my son. I am an emotionally paralyzed woman who is asking for justice.

Purpose of the letter:

I am writing this letter in concern about the carelessness of a transpiration service company. The issue is getting worse than ever. Coach USA and NJ Transit have been a transportation service for many years. Several cases have been already registered, yet no action is taken against them. Even I am one of those victims who lost their loved ones in an incident caused by Coach USA buses.

The purpose of this letter is to bring to the political figures attention on the needs to create a specific law that needs to be implemented on holding these bus drivers like Wilson Romain accountable for their action. Also, with the increasing injustice death caused by NJ Transit and Coach USA reckless bus drivers’ incident that is being swept under the rug, which is considered to me is obstruction of justice.

The behavior of Romain and other reckless bus drivers are not an only accident happened in the city. There are a long list and many unlawful cases registered against the driver Romaine who is actually prosecuted by the USA bus company that is based out of Scotland. Wilson has the worst driving record any bus driver ever had.

Implementing a Deshon Johnson Law:

I am looking for a political figure like yourself to sponsor a Deshon’s Law to hold these reckless bus drivers accountable for taken innocent people lives in vain as Wilson Romaine did to my son.

I notice there are articles written about passing laws dealing with NJ Transit rail safety with the public focused on the fatal train collision at Hoboken Terminal in September 2016 as well as overall safety, maintenance, and reliability http://blog.tstc.org/2017/09/12/whats-wrong-nj-transit-can-next-administration-fix/ . I also took notice that the article addresses repeated safety violations, giving NJ Transit the distinction of having significantly higher accident rates, but considering a bill does not include the buses repeated safety violations. Based on the Wilson Romaine driving record, history, and the bus company mission statement for safety, he should have never been hired. Till this day Romaine is still operating an NJ Transit bus.

In the article link mention above, I read that you were one of the politicians who is a part of sponsored the bill to add commuter voices to the NJ Transit Board of Directors remains

Conclusion:

Coach US and NJ Transit have been working in transportation service from decades. There are many cases registered against these companies.

My only intention is bringing this issue in front of government and other social organizations so that I can save the lives of other innocent people. The bus companies are hiring these drivers with lousy driving records, lack of interpersonal skills like Wilson Romaine. It is impulsive to learn that the bus company is still allowing these bus drivers like Romaine to operate a bus after killing innocent people without any repercussion.

There need to be further actions taken against these bus drivers and bus companies instead of a lawsuit because of monetary value on human life is not a way to solve problems for a bus driver harmful behavior. A lawsuit to me is like a person who has cancer and taken Chemotherapy to mass the issue while life threatens problems are still increasing. I request you to grant me your favor.

Dear Honorable Grace Spencer,

I am the mother of Deshon Johnson, who was deliberately killed by Coach USA bus driver- Wilson Romaine. Based on my son's case documents, I notice that you were the appointed Judge of my son's wrongful death case. The attorneys that I hired have been fabricating their stories; that the bus driver was not speeding and jumped the curb.

Along with, that one witness stated my son was chasing the bus in the street. Well, I had the privilege to converse with the witness a few months ago, and that story was recounted, and, as you will note in the next sentence, I have done my work. I have the original surveillance video- YouTube- which was converted on June 11, 2019, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smZYCe6NDoM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5nNnTxWgig&list=UUOwa1jbYPd4-g-AfTB5YO8A! This video was found at the Exxon site, where my son was killed. This needed to be viewed, and I am doing what I can to have the truth known!

In the video, it shows that Romaine was speeding around the corner and jumped the handicap curb where my sons stood.

In New Jersey, a person can be convicted of "vehicular homicide" (sometimes called "vehicular manslaughter") for causing the death of another person by operating a vehicle recklessly. (Reckless driving carries much harsher penalties than careless driving! It is defined in NJSA 39:4-96 as "driv[ing] a vehicle heedlessly, in willful or wanton disregard of the rights or safety of others, in a manner to endanger, Vehicular Homicide, or be likely to endanger, a person or property.") Romaine should have been charged based on the Exxon gas station video. Why was he not?

The action of Romain killing Deshon is considered to be vehicular homicide under New Jersey law (vehicular homicide or vehicular manslaughter under section 2C:11-5 of New Jersey's criminal code.)

The one attorney, known as Brad, went to the gas station and used his cellphone camera and recorded the first bus going around the corner slowly to trick me that Romaine did not speed around the corner. Brad's action was as reprehensible in the least, and a visible sign of needed disbarment or some punishment due to lack of ethics.

In the said video, you see that the second bus that Romaine is driving is exhibiting fast speed around the corner and the people running to the corner of Broad Street and Bay Avenue, seeing what the bus driver did to my only child. These offices of the court had used their knowledge of the law against me. I know this is a severe charge, but I am serious that the truth must come out.

Attorney Michael Tuzzio, a Representative for transit, asked Essex County Prosecutor -The detective on the video interviewing with the prosecutor for the video on the bus, and the detective stated Coach USA has the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZMix9hLvAw&list=UUOwa1jbYPd4-g-AfTB5YO8A&index=5. Needless to say, the footage came up missing, which is considered to be tampering with evidence under NJ law (NJSA 2C:28-6) based on my attorney. I was told that a witness suspiciously missing.

The NJ Transit/Coach USA attorney had fabricated tales (willfully to me about my son Deshon demise, which is unethical)(RPC 8.4 Misconduct) to the prosecutor that Romain has a clean history and record I think it was a disgrace that Michael Tuzzio was telling Romaine to remember he did not see my son when he gets up showing how he saw my baby. The law took a trip from honesty to dishonesty- not on faith, but on the truths that I discovered.

I also think it is also sickening that Mike Booker, an investigator, was telling Romaine, "that it was out of his control, killing my son, and he did not do anything wrong for killing my child."

I believe that there also has been a conflict of interest under New Jersey law (52:13D-14) or (52:13D-16 ) dealing with my son's case because Investigator Nardone did work for the County and had a past relationship with NJ Transit https://www.state.nj.us/ethics/statutes/conflicts/.

Based on a witness conversation, the witness stated that my son was at the front door knocking when Romaine deliberately ran my son over twice then dragged him. I have the witness conversation on audio. I think that the prosecutor and attorney is a disgrace to Social Justice. Again this an injustice and misuse of the law!

The mention names in the letter did not do their jobs; they bent over for the driver, who did not have a clean record!

Romaine's deposition shows he has speeded in the past that lead to a conviction where he did not kill anyone. Now he killed someone for speeding and never was not charged, which shows the scrutiny of the justice system.

I am writing this letter requesting for Coach USA, NJ Transit, and other parties to supply paperwork dealing with my son's case under the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act.) or the OPRA Open Public Records Act New Jersey S.A. 47:1A-13 (Open Public Records Act - OPRA)

I heartily believe my son's murder case warrants a fair and just trial (Levine v. United .362U.S.610, 80. Ct 1038 (1960)). Deshon's case to be reopened because he deserved Justice, and he did not deserve to die the way he did. I believe there were many obstructions of Justice based on Section 2C:29-1

I feel that the attorneys I hired did not represent me in the right way. I trusted that the attorney I hired would serve me with loyalty, honesty, and trust, which did not happen. Due to my lack of knowledge of the law in my time of grieving, I feel they took advantage of me.

One of the attorneys I had sent me a blank document to sign, and he also had me sign three different settlements while being under duress before he settled my son's case. After signing the settlement papers under duress, Andrew then revealed to me that my son's case was worth 10 million dollars if we went to trial. After that, he told me that he signed a gauge order on my behalf. I found it to be suspicious that the attorney signed a gag order.

Once again, I ask if you can get me all the documents that pertain to this case so that Justice cannot be blind, but fair to me and honor my son, who was a successful young man in every way!

A famous judge in Bergen County often said, "If you lie once, then you lie all the time! That was Bergen County Judge Galda! How would he feel about this case, as besides being a Judge did also lecture?
