According to Dean of Students Viereira, she stated this is the first time ever that a Posthumous certificate/degree of good academic standing in the A.A.S degree in Business Administration of Finance or any other major were ever giving or approved by the college. I am honored and pleased that Essex County President Gale Gibson sign off on the certificate/degree for Deshon Johnson. Also, I am pleased that Dean Viereira had approved the certificate/degree. I will like to thank both of the Administrator on the behalf of my son Deshon L Johnson for recognition of his hard work and effort at Essex County College. I know my son is happy that he had graduate from college.

These pictures are Dean Viereira giving me a hug after her acknowledgment speech about my son's work ethics. The other picture is President Gibson giving a speech to the entireWest Campus Essex County College class of 2013 .

Since, Deshon was not here to give his speech James spoke on his behalf. James gave a good speech. James and Deshon were supposed to graduate together. Here is a picture of James giving a speech while I am standing in the background holding the tears back wishing my son was here for this special occasion.

I will like to thank Theo, Matthew and James for being a loyal friend, cousin and brother. They have been by my side and Deshon's side since day one my son had tragically left this earth. You guys are a true friend, brother and cousin in every aspect. Also, you gentlemen showed true love to my son while he was presently on earth, as well as he is currently not with us.  You guys are not just saying you love Deshon you are showing your true love by your ongoing support. On the behalf of my son, I will like to thank you for your devotion. Faithful friends are hard to come by. It is easy to call someone your friend but trial and test show you they are your friend.

Since my son could not be at the Graduate Award Ceremony to take a picture with his mother here is a picture of Deshon and his mother.

This is a picture of James and his best friend Deshon mother Naomi. The dress I am wearing Deshon brought it for me Christmas of 2011.

This is the graduates of my son  Deshon L Johnson class of 2013.
Because of my son's untimely demise he could not be with his classmate.
