Essex County College Graduation pictures of Deshon L Johnson’s class 2013

Essex County College 44th Annual Commencement at the Prudential Center.

We at The Deshon Johnson College Scholarship Foundation would like to acknowledge all graduates on every level for your educational accomplishment and a job well done. Without support from your loved ones or your self-determination, motivation, ambition, and dedication you would have not been able to climb the ladder of your reward and achievement.  Now that you have completed this step, you can allow yourself to go on to the next level of your learning goals.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, my son was supposed to walk across the stage with his best friend James and the other graduates.  However, his life was taken by a rude aggressive Coach USA bus driver operating a New Jersey Transit bus. The bus driver's back wheel jumped the curb as he sped around the corner where my son was standing knocking him down dragging him a long distance to his demise.

Even though Deshon had an untimely demise, it did not stop President Gale Gibson of ECC college from acknowledging this young man as she called his name with the other 1,460 graduates. No, she did not get to touch his hand like she did the others, but I am sure Deshon name touched her heart when calling him. The Essex County College President stated this is the largest graduation class first time in history.

Here are pictures of The Essex County College 44th Annual Commencement at the Prudential Center.

This picture is one of the graduates singing,

This picture is Interim President Gale Gibson giving a speech before preparing to shake 1,460 graduate student's hands.

These pictures are of James after shaking the Interim President hand holding his degree.

These pictures are of James standing with Nia, Matthew and Deshon's mother Naomi.

This is a picture of James best friend Deshon's mother and his best friend Matthew.

Since his best friend Deshon could not be with him physically in their graduation photo, James is wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Deshon. The two graduates.

Since, my son could not physically stand with his best friend, here is Deshon's mother standing in his place. Deshon's mother is wearing a belt buckle and pendant of her only child at his and Jame's graduation.

This is a picture of James's girlfriend Nia and him.

Here is a picture of Deshon's mother Naomi holding her son's graduation balloon since he is not here to hold it himself.

Here is a picture of James and Deshon on his t-shirt out to lunch after their graduation ceremony.

Here is a picture of the two graduates mothers of James and Deshon.

Here are more pictures where the graduation Commencement was held.

Once again, congratulation to Deshon and James on your college educational accomplishment!
