The Deshon Johnson Foundation commemorates the life of the late Deshon Johnson, who fell victim to a deliberate act of violence at the hands of a Haiti native, employed as a Coach USA bus driver. This individual displayed a callous disregard for Deshon's life, wielding an NJ Transit bus as a lethal weapon. Regrettably, Romain demonstrated a lack of remorse not only for Deshon's life but also for the profound impact on his mother. He callously deprived Deshon's mother of the joy of witnessing her son create a family.

In a brutal sequence of events, Romain ran over Deshon not once but twice, dragging him and abruptly halting the perpetuation of his name and legacy. This tragedy brought an abrupt end to an entire generation of the Johnson lineage.

The Deshon Johnson Foundation stands as a tribute to the memory of Deshon Johnson, a young life tragically cut short by a deliberate act of violence at the hands of a Coach USA bus driver of Haitian origin. This individual displayed a shocking disregard for Deshon's life, using an NJ Transit bus as a deadly weapon. Regrettably, Romain showed no remorse for the impact on Deshon's mother, callously robbing her of the joy of witnessing her son's future milestones.

In a harrowing incident, Romain brutally ran over Deshon not once but twice, dragging him and abruptly extinguishing the legacy of his name. This heart-wrenching event brought an untimely end to an entire generation of the Johnson family.

Compounding this tragedy, the bus driver was never charged with Deshon's murder. The prosecutor's investigation was woefully inadequate, seemingly covering up the circumstances surrounding Deshon's death, perhaps to protect the interests of the bus companies involved. Consequently, justice eluded Deshon, and the bus driver, along with a network of compromised attorneys, judges, and prosecutors, allowed Romain to remain a free man, continuing to operate buses and roam the streets.

This blog serves as a platform, offering a myriad of posts for those seeking to enrich their knowledge through free courses. Deshon's mother firmly believes in the transformative power of education, seeing it as an invincible force that cannot be taken away. Deshon, an exemplary student in both Montclair high school and Kean University/Essex County College, was also a well-known independent underground music artist who performed under a different name. We invite you to explore the array of free courses available here and honor Deshon's memory by embracing the education he valued so highly.

Pedestrian Safety Month for Deshon Johnson

Honoring Deshon Johnson With A Proclamation For Pedestrian Safety Month In November

Deshon Johnson aka Sean, transcended the role of a mere artist. He was a poet, a voice for the voiceless, a warrior, an inspirational figure, a giver of advice, a helper, and a compassionate soul who deeply loved his family and friends. Above all, his love for his mother was unwavering and unconditional.

Despite his short-lived life, Sean went beyond the boundaries of music. One of his goal was to become a cultural icon. Tragically, his potential for further greatness was cut short by Wilson Romain, a Coach USA bus operator. The Haitian bus driver intentionally took Sean's life with an NJ Transit bus. For those who knew him personally, Sean was a humorous young man, quick with jokes, and unafraid to speak his mind when mistreated. He avoided arguments and disrespected people, especially adults.

Sean utilized his voice to uplift those feeling low, instilling courage and motivation. His messages extended beyond music, advocating for justice, equality, and positive changes to empower a new generation globally. More than a hip-hop artist and rapper, Sean "Cos" Mason was the voice for the voiceless and a symbol of resilience, inspired by his mother, a teacher in the urban area. Sean carried on his mother's legacy fearlessly, aiding the youth as she did in her role as a teacher.

He used his platform to shed light on social and racial injustice, challenging societal norms. His powerful lyrics and compassionate humanity made him a beacon of hope for marginalized communities, a symbol of resistance against various issues. Sean observed his surroundings keenly, encouraging self-reflection and urging us to question our values and actions.

In addition to his musical talents, Sean showcased versatility as a visual artist, digital designer, engineer, songwriter, entrepreneur, college student, and extra actor, leaving a lasting impact with his rare magnetism. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy remains unshakable.

The Bloomfield, New Jersey mayor recently presented a proclamation to his mother, recognizing Sean's life in this world and his enduring presence in entertainment and pedestrian safety.

As we acknowledge Sean's existence on this Earth, it is crucial to remember him not just as a college student and hip-hop artist, but as a lyricist and rising star who contributed to the genre. He used his platform to guide youth away from the pitfalls of the urban streets. Sean actively sought to keep his cousin out of jail, surrounding him with positive influences and encouraging a future free from incarceration.

Before his untimely demise, Sean left a resonating message in his music, featuring his famous tagline "Noneillah," followed by the plea, "Don't forget about me." He sparked inspiration in the minds of his peers to strive for a better life. His legacy lives on, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, voices can be heard, and actions can bring lasting change.

The month of November is publicly recognized as an observance for him. November marks Pedestrian Safety Month, a dedicated period aimed at heightening awareness surrounding pedestrian safety and emphasizing the crucial responsibility of drivers to be vigilant for pedestrians every time they are behind the wheel. The objective is to foster a safer environment for all road users by promoting awareness and encouraging cautious driving habits.

Let us honor Sean Mason, aka Deshon Johnson, as a recipient of the pedestrian safety proclamation certificate this November to celebrate and honor Deshon's life, who has passed away.

Deshon Johnson's life was tragically cut short by a reckless Community Coach USA driver, Wilson Romaine

Deshon Johnson's life was tragically cut short by a reckless Community Coach USA driver, Wilson Romaine

Deshon Johnson's life was tragically cut short by a reckless Community Coach USA driver, Wilson Romaine, who operated NJ Transit bus 709 in a reckless manner. The bus jumped the curb, struck him, ran over his head, and dragged him 50 to 100 feet, resulting in the artist's untimely demise. Shockingly, the bus driver was not charged with the artist's murder.

The Deshon Johnson College Scholarship Foundation is a tribute to Montclair's local underground music artist known as Sean Cos Mason, whose real name was Deshon Johnson. His mother, Naomi Johnson, is the founder of this nonprofit foundation.

Every year, Naomi organizes several charity fundraising events to raise funds for Montclair High School, Kean University, and Essex County College. She initiated the Deshon Johnson College Scholarship to support these institutions. Ms. Johnson also raises funds to establish a support group for parents and mothers who have lost their children due to accidents involving reckless NJ Transit, MTA, Coach USA, and other state-run public transportation bus drivers. Additionally, she raises awareness about pedestrian safety.

The tragic loss of my child has caused immense pain and deep sadness.

I kindly request people to consider making a donation directly to the mentioned schools or to the foundation itself. Your contributions can be directed to the following schools or the foundation.
